DescriptionThis 3-day training course develops design concepts with the proper application of proportional and high response servo-solenoid valves. Engineering personnel learn to properly select and size a valve in an open-loop axis application. This is an appropriate next-step training course after completion of our DCH course.
Target AudienceEngineering personnel, hydraulic project engineers and advanced technicians who are responsible for the implementation, design and commissioning of proportional valve circuitry will develop the design concepts they need for the proper application of components to achieve optimum control
Length
3 days
Topics
- Proportional valve selection & sizing criteria
- Selecting the appropriate valve and spool size/ratio for the application
- Valve frequency of response and valve stepped response applied
- Proportional valve circuit design concepts
- Proper control of pressure, speed, acceleration/deceleration and limiting hydraulic related shock
- Controlling overrunning loads
- Understanding the nature of a spring mass system
- Introduction to the closed process loop
- Classroom lecture, discussions and laboratory exercises used to reinforce design concepts
